Original Item: Only One Available. Gunsmith GIOVANNI MICHELONI of Brescia in Italy worked from 1815 until 1889. This example of an over and under double barrel percussion pistol has 4 1/2" barrels, with the brass-tipped ramrod between the two barrels on the right hand side. The top of the upper barrel is marked Micheloni a Brescia, and the fittings are all nicely engraved with spiral floral designs.
The fluted and carved wood grip which supports the two back action percussion locks completes the weapon, with an overall length of just about 10". A good size to conceal in an overcoat pocket. Dating to the 1840's the steel trigger guard covers two triggers, one for each barrel. Condition is very good, with just a bit of cracking near the locks on the right side. Both locks function correctly, holding at half cock and firing only at full cock.
In just splendid condition overall and ready to display!
